All Are Welcome at the Table and at the Baptismal Font

While recognizing the individual, we also embrace the collective. Our Sunday Worship Service is a reflection of that philosophy.

We invite you to join us every Sunday at 10:00 a.m., preceded by social time at 9:30. Communion is on the 1st Sunday of the month, and our Lay-led “Pit Conversation” is on the 3rd Sunday (this is always interesting, no matter who is leading it).  We are an “Open and Affirming” congregation. All are welcome!

Upcoming Worship

Our “Pit Discussion” for this month will be on the last Sunday, July 28.  Gather with us in our community room for a lay-led discussion on “A House Divided.”  These discussions are always deep and meaningful.

We will also wish “Godspeed” to Pastor Peg and Erv as they move to Ohio.

On August 4, we will welcome Pastor Lisa Orriss, who will create and lead worship through August and September.

Communion will be on August 11.  ALL are welcome to our table of love.

No matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here. We offer something for everyone…from the experienced church goer to the novice and everyone in between..

Baptism at Faith Community United Church of Christ

In the United Church of Christ, people are baptized either as children or as adults. Baptism occurs only once in a person’s life, because God’s grace is for all time.   If you don’t know if or when you were baptized, we have no problem with a “do-over.”  We also have been known to renew our own baptismal vows during worship.

It is our belief that we are born without sin. For that reason, there should be no sense of urgency in “getting the baby done.” We do suggest that parents wait until they are in the position to nurture their own spiritual journey, regularly attend worship, and set an intention to engage in the life of the church before having their child baptized. Through baptism, you are accepting the invitation to be in an enduring and deep relationship with our faith community, and we will promise to walk with you and your child on your faith journeys.  This is why we “do” our Baptisms during our Sunday worship, IN community.

Parents may or may not choose to have sponsors (godparents).  It you choose to have sponsors, we will give them a front and center space with you and the kiddo.
